Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 June

Saturday was Jonathan's birthday. I love birthdays especially helping others celebrate theirs.

We are out in the evening at The Black Horse in Grimston with janice and Steve and its was delish.

Sunday Natasha and I went to Leicester to get her uniform for Garendon. We had a really fun morning.

On the way to the shops

My beautiful garden

My garden is looking fantastic at the moment. Rich in colour. I only wished the weather would give us a break and let us enjoy all our hard work. The weather has been appalling for weeks now. Please sunshine make an appearance and soon

Oops

Unfortunately Jonno had a little accident last night on the way home. In fact it was virtually around the corner from work.

His foot slipped off the brake due to the heavy rain conditions as he was coming to a junction and an oncoming car went straight into him. These things happen and at least both he and the other driver were absolutely fine although I think it unnerved him a little. Although I'm not sure he will admit that.

On a side note he is such a good, careful and safe driver. He drives at top speeds around a racetrack in his spare time and yet this happened at almost a snails pace!

Work

Do you ever feel like everything at work is too much? I have been feeling like this for some time and being a Personal Assistant it is part of the course. However recently my job has become increasingly busy to the point I don't feel I can do it effectively enough. So I plucked up the courage and did my homework and went to see my boss who is one of the nicest people I know and the Managing Director.

I spoke about what was wrong, my concerns and asked for three specific things - a more defined role and some of the work to be distributed elsewhere, an office move and last but not least a pay rise. Guess what, I got all three requests.

He was incredibly understanding especially when I showed him in writing just exactly what I did, I think it took him back a little. He asked which parts of the job I want him to distribute elsewhere. I feel so much more positive now and need to be patient to let him sort it all out. Best of all an office move away from the current little office which happens to be opposite our kitchen which must be the worse place to be, so no more listening to tittle tattle. I loathe it

Loughborough Grammar School

It's Saturday morning and I'm currently sitting in the car park of the Grammar School waiting for Natasha to finish her biology science lesson. The things you do as a parent.

On the plus side I've managed to get my finances up to date and in order for the end of the month which I'm very happy about.

My little dancer

Today has been a lovely weather day.  Warm sunshine and bright skies.  So I took the opportunity and with the camera in hand ventured into the garden and asked Natasha to do some of her dance moves whilst I photographed her.  I love the end result.

And for me, I've saved the best till last, I just love this photo of her

Diamond Jubilee Weekend

This is the end result of the bunting decoration for the Diamond Jubilee Weekend.  We loved it and got quite a few compliments from passing people.  We thought we'd celebrate in style, with these lovely people (sorry for the poor quality photo).  We had a fantastic day, despite the appauling weather (it rained all day).  However our parents came down to ours for the day starting with coffee and ending around 8pm with sandwiches, cakes and tea.  Very English.
