Step parents

I found this statement on the web tonight and I think it sums it up perfectly. Jonathan is all I could want in a partner but more importantly he is the rock in Natasha's life that she needs desperately. She idolises him completely. We are so very luck to have him in our lives.

Losing a little control

Do you ever feel like you can't do enough. That you try your very best and it still isn't good enough.

I'm feeling that right now with work.
I have a very high suspicion that one of my bosses is up to something and I'm not going to like it.

I can't put my finger on what it is but he is devious and can be calculating and I may be on the end of it this time. For what reason I have no idea. I always give 110% effort and time, exhausting myself most days.

So tonight I'm feeling a little low and unnerved. Lets hope I'm wrong although my instincts are normally right.

Work Day Lunches

What do you do for lunch when at work?

I am really struggling to decided what to take and make for my work day lunch.  

I don't want to go to the local shop or supermarket and pay ridiculous 

prices for a flimsy sandwich which doesn't take nice.  

However I am in need of some inspiration.  

So if you have any I'd love to hear from you.

A new find

I have just found this delightful little cheese and I have to 

say I am hooked.

Its Wensleydale with Cranberries.  

Its a crumbly, quite strong tasting cheese with a delightful sweet tang which hits you subtly.

If you've not tried it and you love cheese, then go right ahead and purchase some.

I don't think you will be disappointed.

This is the motto for me for 2013.

What does it really me?

I reached my 40th year this year and its time to reach out with both hands and grab opportunities when they come my way.

I've started with organising my life and house and goodness it feels greats. What are your mottos for 2013?

Cake Pops

My sister brought me a cake pops maker for christmas and last week before going back to work I tested it out. It is the easiest little machine I have ever used. I made vanilla cake pops and they were the most delicious little balls of cakes I'd ever tasted.

Natasha's birthday

Last weekend my beautiful daughter turned 12. Wow where did that time go.

We had a lovely day together opening presents and cards. All my family came round for coffee and birthday cake.

In the afternoon we took Natasha to see Skyfall. She had been dying to see it for such a long time and I have to say we all loved it. We also went to one of or favourite italian restaurants - Zizzi.

All in all we had a fantastic day.

Happy New Year

Today is 1 January 2013 after waking up at about 8.30 we decided to go for a long walk to Cossington we followed the track right down to the canalside to see whether it is actually been updated the new path. Surprise surprise it had been updated you can now bike all the way down to Syston which is fantastic for the summertime. Breakfast now and then we shall be taking down the Christmas tree sad times
